This is one of my favorite places for SUSHI & THAI in Atlanta. No American food here- update your listing, CL.

I agree with the problem of poor service. I haven't returned to The Porter because I just don't want to deal with it, and I was in the restaurant biz for almost 10 yrs, so it takes a lot to upset me.
It's sad too, since the beer selection is extraordinary. Speaking of, the servers should be required to know a little something about what is on that beer list.
Since I've lived in EAV (4 years, 3 different restaurants have opened up in this one spot, but Holy Taco is by far the BEST. I think it's the best Mexican fair north of the border and south of Buford Highway!!
A comment on the Bookhouse Pub:
I have also tried those chicken and dumplings. It was a cold night this past weekend. I was feeling a bit under-the-weather when I climbed into one of The Bookhouse's notoriously cozy booths. When the chicken and dumplings came out to me, the peppery broth reached out to my aching senses. It was comforting, and warm, and everything but bland. Did I mention what I started with? Collard green eggrolls. Nuff Said.
The only thing I have against The Bookhouse is there service staff. I get it. You're a hipster- but could you get those suede urban-outfitter boots steppin and bring me my beer without the 'tude? Thanks.
