Re: “Hip-hop's shadowy empire

I first read this article long before I knew much of anything about Obama. Now that he has become our nations first black president hopefully people will come back and withdraw some of these lame comments.

These ignorant comments were almost more entertaining than the article itself. The whole situation makes for a great movie but the reality is sad. People got hurt and killed over nonsense. It's sad to see all the comments championing this dude and his lifestyle and making excuses for the consequences. Are we that hopeless as a people that's all we got - drugs and crime and strippers and prostitution? These are our heros? I can't judge the man, I won't even knock his hustle - he did what he did and he got his reward, but I'm not going to big up this dude like he did something so great and wonderful. He made an amazing amount of money, but at what cost? Peoples families are destroyed. We got a generation of lost young at risk kids trying to be Big Meech. If you steal kill and destroy you can be famous. You can get shouted out in a rap song. Cats need to wake up, this is mad ridiculous. These dudes are obviously very smart and have a lot of heart - could have done anything,
