Re: “JCT. Kitchen

I recently dined at JCT and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is casually elegant, and this paired with the reasonably priced food makes it feel worth going out. I especially enjoyed the angry mussels and oysters. I absolutely loved the onions and pieces of bacon that were in the mussel broth. Raw oysters are always fun, the presentation was beautiful and the cucumber mignonette was perfect. For dinner I had the meat and potatoes dish, except instead of regular fries I ordered the truffle oil fries topped with parmesan. I literally could not stop eating those fries! I ordered the steak rare and it was perfectly done, and the seared grill flavor was yummy. After all the appetizers and the entree, I was pleasantly full but still had room for dessert. I had apple pecan pies with cinnamon ice cream (addictive) and caramel sauce -- homemade deliciousness.
