One of the best shows I saw last year was the Young Antiques and Warm In The wake together at the Star Bar. Both of those bands can carry many more tunes than any of the aforementioned popular groups. I'm sorry to say it, but the Black Lips are lame, Anna Kramer is only OK, and the Selmanaires suck, while Deerhunter is, well, Deerhunter. Pitchfork fodder. Gentleman Jesse and His Men seem to be the best of the bunch, in my opinion. May he go all the way and take the true Torch of the Atlanta music scene along with him.
