I got this confused with La Churreria at 3336 Buford Highway.. which is the one I frequent.. I've never been to one in Norcross
I went to La Churreria looking for.. well, just that.. Churros. When I stepped into this little hole-in-the-wall, I found a tiny store. They serve Greenwood ice cream. There's a huge sliding-glass case against the wall full of tasty (and I'm pretty sure, all Mexican) breads, cookies, and pastries. When you walk in, you grab a metal shopping basket, metal tongs included, that's lined with parchment paper. Pick out your pastries and pop them into your basket and take them to the counter to purchase. Back to the point, I came looking for churros. I was told they would take five minutes while the lady at the counter fried them up and tossed them in cinnamon-sugar. They are SO GOOD! I took them home and dipped them in good drinking chocolate. The prices at La Churreria are low and the tasty sweets suprise you after seeing the actual store (they even have almond-nut cookies!). I hit a language barrier because I know zero spanish but don't let that scare you off.. I just kindly asked another customer to translate.
