For those interested, this is called teh-tarik and (to quote myself) it’s actually called Teh-Tarik, which translates to “pulled tea.” The concoction is a mixture of black tea and condensed milk and is made by pouring the tea from one mug into a another. The continued pour helps mix the ingredients, cool the piping hot tea, and bring out the aroma.
I've got a post up from 2k10 that's got an HD version of this video and a little more info but that's really the gist of it.
As an adopted Memphisian (note: not what you actually call someone from Memphis), I'd say this is a great little write up. The only other place I'd definitely add to it is Huey's ... cuz it's kinda fun in this day of health code violations to eat in a place that openly invites people to shoot toothpicks into the ceiling.
left off the @Jerky
yeah ... what a douche for providing relevant and non-damaging information. of course, one must ask - if you assume that Jimmy is surely unemployed, are you using your predicament as the basis for that reasoning?
Whoops! Didn't mean to actually post that! But alas - Best is simply the best and Broderick takes some amazing shots. So there you have it, two of Atlanta's best in one post. Great idea Besha!!!
