I recently at tacos that looked just like these in Southern California (the slaw was thinly cut instead of chopped)!!!!! Thank you Buford Hwy for making me want to cry. I will see you this weekend and many times after that.
My husband and I frequented Legal Seafood in Mass. We went to the new Atlanta location this weekend and had a decent meal. I'm glad to have a seafood restaurant from New England here in the south. However, anytime you plant something outside of its native region, there will be inconsistencies. Transplants will notice them and may overlook them and return. Newbies from the local scene may leave scratching their heads and wonder if they'll be back.
My husband got the cioppino and I got the seared scallops. The appetizer was our favorite bucket of steamers. I had two drinks and my husband had one. Our bill with tip was a little over $100. Not too bad. The cheddar grits were fabulous. I usually avoid them because the dish leaves a fatty film in my mouth. Not so with Legal's grits. Kudos to the chef that devised the recipe. It was deeelicious!
We will be back to have oysters, steamers and drinks!
