Re: “Kirkwood

I absolutely love living in Kirkwood, we get the benefit of a small town feel with big city amenities. I am literally walking distance to Oakhurst and the downtown area where Le Petit Marché and The Pullman restaurant have kept me well fed.

This article is right that Kirkwood is not entirely gentrified and I think that's one of its best qualities. I love living in a diverse neighborhood where I have a chef living across the street, a lawyer living next door, and neighbors who've been in Kirkwood since the 70's behind me. This is a neighborhood that embraces diversity instead of fearing it.

Re: “"Real Housewives of Atlanta" Season 4, Ep. 5: That Girl!

Yeah that whole Grant Park is the hood comment pissed me off. I live in Kirkwood and I was still mad. Please believe that houses in Grant Park cost 3 times what those faux fancy houses that they are living in cost. These houses and neighborhoods have been around for centuries and you are "rich" because you are living in a house that will fall down if you stare at it to hard?! Get out of here!

Re: “'True Blood' season 4 finale

@bloodgimp I COMPLETELY agree the season finale with Edgington and Newlin's emergance was the only good episode this ENTIRE SEASON.

Re: “Was the helicopter really necessary at Screen on the Green? Well, maybe it was

I say if you are sick of the crime in Atlanta than do something about it. If you want to see a shift in the activities of Atlanta youth than volunteer YOUR time to help chance it. Telling a group that because you share the skin color of some criminals than you are responsible for them is dumb, and sitting around waiting for someone else to solve the problem is lazy.

Just because you are white does not mean you can't be part of the solution. And guess what the solution isn't telling someone else to take care of it
