We had a few high-dollar cocktails that were great. A couple of apps that were so-so (chewy popcorn was a let down in an otherwise good mix of flavors in the rail mix) - the boiled peanuts were not available. Our "entrees" were all really good - fish n' grits, shotgun wedding soup, mussels. Our one vegetarian diner was really disappointed with the lack of options.
It's certainly a notch above most other places in the area with the constant exception, Agave. We'll definitely go back.
One other thing - loved the music mix.
This wreaks of something bad. Who exactly is planning all this?
Carla Smith claims to be left in the dark, and now Fulton Co. says they haven't had any discussions either.
Bring this out into the light of day, Mr. Mayor. We've wasted 17 years for the area - why the mad rush now?
It was obvious from the beginning how this was going to go. Our zoning codes are too outdated and too dimwitted to stop bad developments like this. I'd like to say that hopefully this will be a wake up call, but I doubt this city has the intelligence and propensity to do much of anything right.
The worst part of the day was hearing the city's attorney essentially lay it out as to why the Beltline Overlay is nothing in the eyes of the law.
When's the "larger crackdown that will take place across the entire city" happening?
"But I don't see even an ounce of ink being used to get to the bottom of that issue. "
Because there is no issue. Carla has played this about as well as possible - in conjunction with the community leaders and a handful of lawyers since Day 1. She is the one sticking her neck out here - not the Office of Planning, not the Mayor, not the $4mil/year Beltline staff, and certainly not the clown who made that video.
The SAP was approved on July 12?
That appears to be the bigger story here.
While in the 'hood, maybe Grassley can stop by Trinity Ave and ask APS about their 61 central office employees making over $100k - that would be triple any local, comparable system.
Please disseminate the more appropriate footage. APD edited out some crucial video of the perps. http://www.wsbtv.com/videos/news/raw-surve…
