Re: “The Pecan

Another Pearl in the Shell! I wish that there were more advertisement for The Pecan. This Southern Gem that is nestled in downtown College Park, right across from the Train Station is one that I hope stays around for a very long time. I have to rant & rave on the Shrimp & Grits.......WOW! Im having a flash back right now! LOL! But seriously, I don't know how to describe this dish that has a little cajun kick to it......The Chef is one bad mutha(shut yo mouth).....It's very hard to say that you have had shrimp that is cooked just right.....If you think that you have had shrimp cooked "just right" but have never experienced The Pecan, you are really short-changing your palate.....The salmon, I must say, is very well prepared as well. I am not a meat eater (unless you call seafood meat) so I am not sure how that area is. I'll just put it on the line and say that it's as good as the seafood, it has to be, there could be no other only is the food incredibly great but so is the service. The atmosphere is very mood setting...very elegant but not too ritzy.....Depending on the night, you may be able to catch someone on the piano. I just simply love The Pecan! I have been telling everyone that will listen, so hopefully The Pecan will receive the spotlight it so rightfully deserves.
