NYC transplant. City all my life. I'm over it except to visit. Too many of ATL's city residents aren't even from the South and they've…
Mandie: Spoken like a true lib. You don't know a thing about me and my circumstances. I am obviously older than you and started out as a true and original anti-authoritarian, alternative-seeking hippie in the '60s' Like most of my gnereration we were forced to grow up and adapt our new ways within the traditions that prove true over the decades.
By now, we know what works and what is fantasy stretching into ignorance of the real world. We did much good; not this pittance that you are desperately trying to recapture from our original days. We fought against many REAL, misbegotten ways very successfully. You have a lifetime to go to even match what we did. Now, that I happen to have terminal liver cancer the values that have grown clear and have guided me solidly into transitions and a reality that remains strong give me huge pause as to your naivete and arrogance. But good luck to you and your good intentions!
I, for one, would never return to those oftentimes silly, yet inevitably profound, days of the '60's. In many ways they were downright embarrassing to ever cling to as an adult. There are better ways than to make your points than to come across as arrogant, dazed and foolish and to hypocritically rely on the riches of others.
1.8 MILLION? Haha...quote your source and how you did the fuzzy math on THAT one. This crowd doesn't know the first thing about responsible or true accounting. It's a lot of fantasy. You wish you had monetary power. That's what you're, ironically, against. IF you had any fiscal power, it would all turn inward and you'd surely blow it. It's just not in your DNA to get it. How many DECADES has it been since the Hippie 'Anti-Everything movement' first reared it's naive head and yet you haven't even created (one of your favorite words) a viable solar or wind -- or ANYTHING -- alternative worthy of substantial note.
@AtlantaAdvocate & loopy 'c***': what oxymorons! Your cars probably wouldn't make it to the Perimeter, if you even owned one, you obnoxious, uber-emotional, bitter babies. You have no power.
@Ladeef: YOU'RE "what's wrong with America"! And all of your ilk. Liberals can be such sick-dream pansies.
The liberal babies and their utterly juvenile remarks on this site are beyond any real rationale. They firmly believe they represent all that is normal and just and good. Talk about being "out of touch", as they are so fond of accusing. They live in a parallel universe but the pity is: they're so unaware of themselves and the ways of reality. What silly pansies liberals can be!
