The opening preview of "I Dream" at the Alliance last night was phenomenal! Tears from the opening scene. Moving and heart wrenching, the music, lyrics, choreography, and performances were extraordinary and powerful.
This sophisticated modern opera found perfect harmony between history and humanity. Thank you Jasmine Guy for choosing to open your masterpiece here in Atlanta in stead of opening in London or Broadway- although I predict "I Dream" will soon grace those stages as well.
"I Dream" brings Rev. Dr. MLK, Jr.'s plight to the audience in a way that only music can- through the soul.
