I grew up watching Julia Child on my local PBS channel long before I knew what farm to table was. I liked the sincerity, clarity, and authority she conveyed about preparing food. Where is that same spirit in today's television chefs....I know ....in the new brand of cooking shows...on my local PBS channel....

This is the article I wished I had written. Calling myself a foodie, I have spent incalculable amounts of money on exotic spices and the finest heritage meats. In the end, food is...dare I say it...food (and it all ends up floating away). I agree with the writer. Like cars, and clothing, there is an aesthetic that says the more you pay for something the better it is. In all my spending what I do know for sure is the fresher something is and the closer it remains to its natural state the better it tastes and the greater its nutritional value. Buy the best that your budget will allow!

i hope the bathrooms are nice at this restaurant because that painfully rare (raw) lamb is going to tear through patrons intestines!!!!
