I agree having to wait was difficult, especially since the theatre was not my last stop of the night. I thought this play should have been at The Fox- a 45 minute wait never would have happened there. And it does suck that you didn't get to see the subtitles, because they did add a lot, but they weren't entirely necessary to enjoy the play. I have to disagree with your rating because the script was incredible, Sahr's energy was incredible, the set and costumes were incredible, and also the band. The way that they integrated Fela's Mother, Funmilayo, as an operatic angel was beautiful. It would have been helpful if the call and answer process for the "yeah yeah's" were explained at the beginning so the audience could have been a bit more interactive, but what a great story.
F***** love Featureless Ghost so much
how CJ from Mary's karoke used to be in a Black Sabbath cover band called Dionysus. Mary's Tuesday night karaoke, period.
On the other hand, Anthony Bourdain is welcome back any time
Y-E-S. Times like this I think folk should just get paid for having god taste. Also I think a poem could be constructed using these collected titles
I go to the Buddy's. I buy all the Hotlanta hot sauce in the building. And then I forget all the Texas Cholu-sirachas that existed before it.
