Sad news indeed. I always admired Dennis and Bob's commitment to what they were doing and to the Chattanooga and Atlanta improv music scenes. He'll be missed.
I've had the nam kao tod at Lotus of Siam! I was in Vegas last Fall for work and checked it out based on the hype, which the restaurant definitely lived up to. The crispy rice in the nam kao tod is like nothing I've ever had - Smith nails the description. I'll have to make an effort to get over to ESS to try this dish and see if he nails the execution.
How was the audience? I wanted to go but had a work function I had to attend.
Are New Brutalism no longer on the Hawks bill at 529 on Saturday? I was looking forward to seeing them.
Carroll Street Cafe fits the bill, but it's a bit of a pain to access for those that don't live in Cabbagetown.
That photo is from Little Tart, not Bread Garden, correct?
I agree with you on Sarah's croissants - they're the best in Atlanta.
Hate to sound boorish, but Counter Culture doesn't roast in Atlanta. They have a "training center" here but all their roasting is done in NC if I'm not mistaken.
