Just curious....did the Falcons get out of complying with the new stormwater ordinance.....first 1" of rain has to remain on the site- about 85% of all storms?
Also, is it really a surprise that the new stadium is going on a current parking lot and that the parking would not flip to the other side?????
Second, it's been almost a week, move on.
The Southwest and Southeast Corridors have been part of federal funding for years. The feds via GDOT have a very intensive process that drags everything out.....1 year for an environmental document and the same time for ROW acquisition. Add in design and that's how you get to 3 years before starting construction.
The only way this works is if the Sports Authority figures out ways to use the stadium more than 81 days a year
Maybe Reno 911?
Roll out the program to areas other than downtown.....lower income areas and make a "rental" doable via an ebt card. Get people who don't have a bike and may or may not be inclined to exercise and encourage them to exercise. This has to have a broader goal than downtown, VAHI, or Buckhead. Otherwise it is more window dressing.
