True. Further, film cameras have long been able to take 35mm still pictures, so I'm also not clear on the need to emphasize on tool serving two purposes.
However, seeing as how ACP and it's patrons are focused on photography, it will be interested to see what they produce. The hope is we may see some films that emphasize the craft of creating an image *then* making it move. Often times amateur/prosumer filmmakers focus more on story and dialogue without giving equal consideration to cinematography and editing.
I can personally attest to "[Panters] festivals are run poorly" when we screened our film DICK-GEORGE, TENN-TOM at Docufest in 2007 it was a miserable experience.
