I'm one of the artists of this piece, and though I'm not sure it is worth my effort to join this rant, I'll give it a go. I understand that some may like the piece and some may not. That is fine. I can say that it was designed as a temporary piece, so that over the summer the quilted fabric would fade and wear, and the plants would grow up the steel pillars. However, setting fire to it is ARSON - totally beyond what should be considered normal wear and tear for public art.
