I loved Madras Chettinaad and Madras Grill (the old names, in respective order, of the newly named Madras Woodlands) and myself and friends would eat there at least once a week if not more for a couple years. Unfortunately, the original owners sold the place (that's when it changed names to Madras Grill) and the service suffered followed very quickly by the quality of the food... and then they decided to bring in belly dancers and make the menu a 'fusion' menu that incorporated italian food... WTF? We stopped going right about the time I saw fettuccine alfredo on the menu and signs up for "$2 Budweisers on game day!" It sounds like the same erratic and misguided owners are still running the place. It amazed me how quickly they could diminish the value of their constanct repeat business because they wanted to try to for the lower-price crowd. They used to have the BEST (albeit expensive) buffet in the area - I mean, seriously the best indian food in an area chock full of indian restaurants, but instead of maintaining their high standards, they kept trying all these ridiculous 'new' ideas. It sounds like your experience with the service was very similar to the experiences we started having before we stopped going - bad management killed a great restaurant right there.
