Dahlonega, Georgia Wine, Three Sisters Vineyards, Three Sisters Winery
Dahlonega's First Family Farm Winery - Lumpkin County's Founding Winegrape Growers.
I'll second that point. Georgia has great apples, blueberries, peaches and more that are also being used for wine production. Love the First Sparkling Wines in Georgia -made from Blueberry & Muscadines being produced by Chesser Island in Folkston, GA.
We have Meaderies, Breweries and Micro Brew Pubs that produce and attract visitors. Georgia even boasts a couple of Distilleries!
Great Article! Thanks for the exposure. The Paul Family purchased land in 1995 to establish Three Sisters Vineyards as Dahlonega's First Family Farm Winery and Lumpkin County's First Vineyard. We planted in 1998 and opened our winery operation in 2000. Since that time, we have seen four others establish in Lumpkin County- Wolf Mountain, Frogtown, Montaluce, and Cavendar Creek Vineyards. In neighboring White County, Habersham Vineyards & Winery was joined by Blackstock, Yonah Mountain Vineyards, Serenity Cellars, Becca Farms and Sautee-Nacoochee Vineyards. We have a little Napa-Sonoma right here in North Georgia for folks to visit! Check out www.GeorgiaWineCountry.com for even more information.
