Re: “Planning chief's overhaul of stretched-thin department meets pushback from some councilmembers

Certain employees in City Hall have historically cozied up to CM Martin and his staff. He has regularly inserted himself very awkwardly into what should be internal personnel decisions. In this case, he knows exactly what he is doing and so does the Mayor and Commissioner. I'll talk about his extreme racism on another day.

Re: “First Slice 5/10/16: Intown apartment development bites the dust. Has the bubble burst?

Rents very rarely go down. Home prices go up and down all the time.

Re: “Reynoldstown says yes to Madison Yards, Fuqua's proposed mixed-use project along the Beltline

@MDH: Condo's could be a contraction of condominiums. ;-)

@CHRISTOPHER: You can live anywhere else in Georgia if you want big roads. Take your widening and shove it. :-|

Re: “Bye bye PARKatlanta?

The only problem I ever had with ParkAtlanta was their poor choice of multi-space meter technology. Those machines are awful, and they don't have to be. There are much more user friendly versions out there. Regardless of who operates on-street parking in the future, the city needs to move toward an SF Park model with real-time occupancy data, parking guidance systems, dynamic pricing, smart phone payment technology and more customer friendly payment options. There are also opportunities all over the city to add additional spaces (ex. North Avenue, Spring Street, Centennial Olympic Park Drive, etc.).

Re: “Johns Creek Councilman does not want MARTA in North Fulton, no way, no how

Who cares what Johns Creek thinks? It makes no sense to extend MARTA that far north without going further east, west and south first anyway.

Re: “First Slice 9/3/2015: Cobb wants road projects near new Braves stadium and the state is happy to help

Adding lanes to a surface street is not an improvement. It actually makes the area more hostile to transit users, pedestrians and bicyclists. When will Georgia learn?
