I think for the money Escorpion charges, you'd be better served to go a couple blocks over to The Prickly Pear Taqueria. The food is great and they have an EXCELLENT cocktail menu. Plus you get a live band and dancing on certain night.
I thought the film was nicely done.
"Debut filmmaker George Nolfi...can't establish David and Elise's tenuous connection as a love for the ages." - I don't think this film was about a "love for the ages" but rather two people struggling to be together inspite of opposition.
I will agree though, that based on the consquences of their union as per the suits, it didn't seem to be world-ending if they did in fact end up together.
The kids won't get this movie at all. The dialogue is a little much for kids under 10.
