Re: “Paying at the curb to the Georgia State Patrol's Motorcycle Unit

Dont speed and you wont have to worry about getting a ticket. The article says the court gets processing costs. They are whining cuz it cuts into their profits. The Chief in the article is a hippocrit. All of his agency's fines go back into his city or county fund. As for the troopers, every other ticket written by troopers not on bikes goes to the city or county where the ticket is written. If part of their tickets went to the state, it would free up money that can be used in other areas- like education or trauma care!

Re: “Paying at the curb to the Georgia State Patrol's Motorcycle Unit

If you dont want a ticket-don't speed. It's really simple to avoid any dealings with them. The aritcle said the court gets maintenance and processing costs for the tickets. If that's so then they shouldnt complain becuase it aint costing them..Every other ticket written by troopers go to the jurisdiction they write the ticket in. as for the chief guy complaining, he is a hippocrit. all of the fines collected for local agency tickeyts go to their general fund of that city or county.
