I agree with everything in the review except the score. The kitchen was still working out the kinks when I visited on opening week and my sweet potato-crusted grouper was grossly under-salted. I also agree that the Brussels sprouts and beets in the dish were lacking in cohesion; they were just "there". The olive plate, which may no longer be on the menu, was quite good. The ubiquitous fried pickles are a unique, but tasty, half-sour that unfortunately overpowers the great beer cheese sauce. On my return visit the delicious meatloaf erased my childhood disdain for the dish. Both visits capped off with a delightful shortcake.
Even on CL's stricter star ratings, Sprig is an easy 3 stars and a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
