Re: “Chad Rad's concert picks May 23-29

Tight Bros (like other promotions companies) likes to book the bands that get press to guarantee a good turnout most likely. Which is all the more reason CL needs to continue stepping up local coverage so we don't have to see these same bands over and over at every venue in EAV every week. Otherwise it'll bring up questions about the relationship between promo companies and the music writers. I'm not insinuating there's anything fishy though. I think it's just logical from a business standpoint to book local bands with press that can help guarantee a good turnout. Which is why it makes it so important that the Chad and other staff members stay in tune with what's going on in the area. For instance a band like EP3 would be great to book since they have a fairly large following, but Tight Bros wouldn't know to book them b/c they don't see their name in the press. (I don't know if TB has booked this band or's just a random example).

Re: “Glenn Saddler brings ‘Expectations’ to the party

oh Yeah! I forgot he tends to get wrong vital info of bands he be-grudgingly covers either from getting called out or maybe after having a fun night out. ;) (See Hijacking Music label news back in January for an example, it was all kinds of wrong). Strategic dis-information eh chad? tsk tsk. I've got your number bruh.

"F*ck The In Crowd."

Thanks for keeping up with the times and being fair Chad Rad. For this, I'll finally forgive you. ;)

Re: “The rock 'n' roll road trip to end all road trips

haha. get mad all you want to. goNads. I'm right. and ya know what edgewood adam? I don't recall sending a resume your way, nor do i recall being an intern for your publication (of the 3 that i have been one for), so your view on what i do is irrelevant now isn't it?
oh and the fake vegan coke account? I may not have a degree in journalism but I realized one thing: music journalism is absolute BS. CL was never a "job" seeing as I never got a paycheck. Get some more info next time sweets. ;)

Re: “Baby Baby: Money

Well I got about 30 seconds into their newest single/video and was like "oh boy! they found a metronome and it still didn't help!"

shut up and laugh 7inch[es] [of dissapointment]. You know it's funny!

Coathangers are "just having fun" and so is baby baby. I can't get as excited about 4 chicks playing badly and having fun on stage as I can about 4 half naked dudes in neon shirts dishing out just as much half-baked views on gender roles and stereotyping lyricism as them!

Re: “Baby Baby: Money

I <3 Baby Baby. They're like my own Coathangers...except they can play just a little better. Surprised you don't like them. What'd the Coathangers get again on their album? And I'm sorry "Instead Of Spending My $20 On the Blink 182 Reunion Show I Took You Out On a Date and You Never Returned My Phone Call So Don't Ever Expect to Eat Free Shrimp Scampi Again Bitch!," is a way funnier title that "Nestle In My Boobies." In fact I'm sure Baby Baby guys have no problem motorboatin' some titties at their shows. Attention all greasy pale faced hipster chicks!

Re: “The rock 'n' roll road trip to end all road trips

i have no control over who else does it. like i said, Balkans are an okay band (i do like a couple of their songs), and kudos to them for doing something. I got a problem with the overhype. And yeah...i kinda know how the process starts. But maybe I'm wrong. I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong.
