Re: “Closing time: what do a restaurant's hours really signal?”
Sometimes servers hurrying your order when you come in 10 minutes before closing isn't because the server wants to leave, it's because the kitchen often times WILL NOT cook anything past close. I have been a server in two restaurants like this recently. There wasn't anything I could do.
