Re: “Reed: No way Braves would have stayed without costing taxpayers 'hundreds of millions of dollars'

" It could help to revitalize the communities around that stadium in a way that would not happen if the Braves stayed. I am hopeful"

I'd love to believe that if i didn't know better.

How the hell is eliminating the largest local employer (albeit part-time) in Summerhill/Mechanicsville/Peoplestown going to revitalize squat, my fellow commenter? The stadium was the only reason people outside of that community know this area the even exists. City officials, developers, and entrepreneurs haven't made any moves in that area, save for those plywood JohnWeiland townhomes that offer a birds-eye view of the Orange Lot, and that was WITH the Braves in place. At least maybe now DDS can replace that rinky-dink trailer they've had there with an actual building?

"The season for celebrating and spending time with loved ones is upon onus" ?

This time of year is mighty onerous. A flintstones ribeye would go far to ease the pain.

"Soon they'll have a fossilized turd of MLK in the Smithsonian"

Would still be worth more than half of the crap that crowds the Smithsonian now.

Re: “Look at all them writers in Decatur!

wesley have you never been to Decatur? I'm surprised Andisheh isn't wearing a gardening hat. They give you one of those, a weeks worth of reusable shopping bags and a rescued dog upon your move in.

Re: “Time and Place: AmericasMart, Building 3

Really glad you almost killed yourself for these shots. Reminds me a lot of the Hyatt Regency, another pleasantly vertigo-inducing space.
