This is amazing. Congrats, guys!
A comment will help me remember that I was here. Love the song too, lol.
I remember seeing Matt, Ricky Raw, Eric ZBD, Whitney Horne, Ryan Purcell, Lee Stokes and countless others at the house on Gresham Road in East Atlanta almost every day, more so if there was a party at Cenci. Matt would invite me in to have a smoke but I was in the middle of taking online classes at the time so I declined. Matt never gave up trying to befriend me, though. He finally got my attention back in January of this year at Primal Nightclub with his idea of doing the first Dubstep DJ competition. He wanted me to be a part of it. I liked the idea because it reminded me of the old Tupac movie, Juice. So I agreed to help by taking photos and show him how we used to promote hip hop shows at the old Warehouse Nightclub (which is now a parking lot, a block South of Club Inferno).
My background includes mostly working for mainstream nightclubs so it's challenging working with grassroots companies. Matt surprised me from the start because he knew about spreadsheets, contracts, etc. I saw a lot of that unyielding passion in him that I had in me. But what I liked about Matt the most is that he awakened a part of me that I thought I had lost, the part that helps a friend without regard for the consequences because the odds are stacked unfavorably against him.
