Re: “Best Mixologist

not many great bartenders or "mixologist" in the city....

best place to go for drinks in the US would be New Orleans...

dying for a Hurricane or a 1800FUCKMEUP at Nick's on Tulane....

nothing original in any of the bars here in Atlanta.... kinda of sad thinking about it....

Re: “What's the best thing to do high in Atlanta?

stay at home.... last thing we need in Atlanta is another drunk or stoned driver on our roads....

Re: “We need to change Atlanta's 'Big Idea' mind-set

the neighborhood around Ft McPherson is pretty scary and downright ghetto....

the existing facilities on the base are outstanding, like the golf course, but the surrounding neighborhood can cause problems for any developer to attract businesses and residents into the area....

Campbellton Rd is just down right ghetto and an area high in crime..... it's a shame the property is in great location, close to downtown and the airport, but the surrounding neighborhood makes the property that not attractive....

Re: “Atlanta-to-Macon commuter rail gets strong push to snag spot on transportation-tax project list

kinda of stupid to have rail along the 75 corridor between Atlanta and Macon....

the more economical sense and practical sense would be to build a rail line along the 85 south corridor between Columbus and Atlanta.... more development along that line..... with the new KIA plant and the supporting companies popping up next to the plant would help make the development move more quickly and actually compete with Alabama in getting companies to open a regional plant or distribution on this side of the border....

Re: “Democrats deliver letter from Ronald Reagan to help with debt-ceiling talks

dumbing down of america...

the gang of six deal includes ending all tax loopholes relating to real estate....

I for one can agree to it, only because my house is paid off....

but for those who own a home that are middle class and still have a mortgage will get hit the worst....

the deal includes the following:

- ending home mortgage deduction
- ending property tax deduction
- ending all capital gains exemption for sale of primary residence....

so in other words, homeowners are getting double taxed on their homes...

also will kill the residental real estate industry (personally thinking this is a good thing, too many damn real estate agents)....

this compromise also would almost end any tax deduction on charitable donations.... which would almost hurt pretty much all charities....

worst part of the compromise is the future spending cuts will be done by a bi-partisan committee, meaning no cuts will ever be done....

listening to and watching the news for praising this compromise is completely mind blogging.... the "reporters" are only telling abit of the truth and people are running around screaming it's a great compromise....

Re: “Looking for work — for a long time

so which is it?

the Obummer great shovel ready $1 trillion stimulus package was a success or is it another bullshit lie that shows Obummer is downright stupid on economic issues?

Re: “Booting is a legal scam

MARTA sucks and pretty dangerous.... I have taken MARTA twice while living in Atlanta (almost 10 years now) and been robbed both times....

until MARTA improves in security (the fat fukers with MARTA police badges are no better than the old lady waving good bye to people at Walmart) and provide better service, MARTA is just a waste....
