for bonafides, I am an Indian who lived in Bombay (oops, Mumbai!) and South India.
This restaurant is our 'go-to' place for vegetarian Indian food.
This restaurant is owned by Gujaratis, but has an excellent South Indian cook. Oddly, this combination works, with excellent 'Guju' food, as well as really good South Indian fare. The buffet is quite good, but I generally end up ordering off the menu, as I want the freshest food. In other words, rather than the vadas that have been sitting around on the heating plate, I'd rather pay extra and get the really fresh crispy ones.
Finally, the price is right, so give it a try.
Full disclosure: No affiliation whatsoever with the owners, in fact, my wife thinks it is a bit dirty, but I say, the food's great, so there!
