Matador in Glenwood Park is open with limited "Snow Day" menu and full bar. Tacos just hit the spot today, and the service (as always) was spectacular.

As a server, I abhor the idea that someone I work with would ever mess with someone's food.

That being said, I do work in a restaurant where the chef ORDERS me to get late table orders in and give them last call. The kitchen does not give two hoots about the precarious spot this puts me in regarding customer service, and it is horribly awkward to tell a paying customer that they must follow the whims of the kitchen. (and yes, I am seeking employment elsewhere)

@tmc: "...get a real job..."??!!??!! I have a college degree. I have worked in my field, for more money than I make now. I truly love serving people in the capacity I do. How dare you call my work not real?

From the server side of it: Who doesn't tip on the pre-discount amount? About 2/3 to 3/4 of those using the discount in a given shift. I've checked with my coworkers...maybe it's just our establishment, but it's across the board here, the thorn in the side of all the servers. I'm sorry, if I know you have the discount, you go to the bottom of my priority list as a server.
