Re: “Reed: No way Braves would have stayed without costing taxpayers 'hundreds of millions of dollars'

Oh goodie! Can't wait to see that exciting entertainment district near the new stadium in Cobb County. I bet they will have both an Olive Garden and a Red Lobster-plus a spanking new Wal-Wart!

Re: “Confess your unpopular food opinion

Atlanta's so-called local "Southern" Cuisine sucks. Its so sweet & with no nuance. There's corn syrup/sugar in everything- including things that should never be sweet- like vinagrettes, bread, butter for bread, chicken dishes, meat dishes- even the desserts are too syrupy sweet.

Re: “Tim Gaddis of Star Provisions posts cheesy pics

Why is Tim always so cranky behind the counter at Bachanalia? Is it because he has to smell the cheese all day long?

Re: “Gio's Chicken Amalfitano: shockingly good

I've visited Gios twice. The first time the Sorento Chicken was perfection. 2nd time- not so much- it was undercooked. My friend's Chicken Diavola was undercooked also. Raw chicken is not a pleasant experimence. Get it togther guys!

Re: “First Look: Bantam & Biddy

I went there for lunch today and had the fried catfish slider special on recommendation from Cliff's blog. While the price was right ($6), the slider was a huge disappointment. Perhaps a blackened or broiled catfish would have succeeded better. The gluten-free batter was thick and tasteless- lacking salt even- and did nothing to compliment the taste of the fish. (The tiny smear of tartar sauce was barely discernable.) Why put a thick-battered catfish on a slider roll anyway? Serves no purpose other than carb-loading.

Haven't given up yet, because B&B is conveniently located in my 'hood, but I was expecting more from Shaun.

Re: “The Crawfish Shack: Vietnam meets New Orleans

I quit going there because the fried shimp are greatly overcooked- they are tough & stringy- New York Times rave or not!
