I have seen J. J. Grey and Mofro at least a half dozen times and this was easily their most uninspired and lackluster performance. The crowd was inattentive and disrespectful. They wouldn't stop chattering during the quiet songs despite repeated entreaties. The band has undergone numerous personnel changes and that is not all to the good. J. J. has gone from being a member of a front porch soul band to being the leader of a group of professional session men. I much preferred the former. He chose this concert to record a live album/DVD. It's a shame that he didn't do it back with the original Mofro.
