@Hangman, if your art is just as good or better, put it on a wall somewhere. Action speaks louder than words.
Hmm... While I'll admit this is a great idea, this puts local craft beer shops at risk. Ale Yeah! in Decatur can get pretty much any regional craft beer you could imagine. No, I don't work there and this is not a shameless promotion. I just shop there and support local businesses. Websites of this type could have the same effect on local beer shops as bicycle websites have on local bike shops.
Adam Gaslowitz is on Facebook. I say we all send him friend requests (which I'm sure he'll accept as he's a souless lawyer trying to peddle his business). Then we all post "Tree Killer" messages on his wall. I also like hanging a sign on the property, but we should take his headshot off his website and paste his face on the sign as well, so everyone in town knows who he is. When it starts to affect his business and reputation maybe he'll have a change of heart...
Whether people like it or not, Graffiti has evolved over the past 30 years into a legitimate art form. Graffiti is what made great artists like Keith Haring and Sheppard Fairey reach success in the art world. And it would be a travesty to say they were/are not "real" artists simply because the medium was a grey concrete wall or white billboard. It's time for Atlanta to get out of the civil war age and start living in the 21st century. Open your minds!!
I think the point of the op-ed was lost in many of these comments. When in this person's letter did they debate the existense of an all-powerful supreme being? All they were stating is that there are Christians out there who aren't Bible thumping persecuting types. And this guy wanted to share that, and his openness toward the Gay Community. I'm not a Christian, quite frankly I'm not anything. The real issue here is proven in all of these comments. "Liberal" extremists are no better than "conservative" ones. Let's stop the in-fighting and just have love and compassion for one another.
