Re: “Lawsuit filed to halt Suburban Plaza Walmart construction”
They are crazy for comparing former City Hall East and its urban location to Suburban Plaza. The area around Suburban Plaza has nothing going for it but Dekalb Medical Center. There is also no connection between that area and Downtown Decatur. The new Wal-Mart will serve the DMC, Emory, CDC and Decatur communities. This group, Good Growth DeKalb, is selfish. Wal-Mart is the best option that has been proposed in an area that has been declining for 30 years and only serves a transit route.
