Re: “Actor's Express faces a cash crisis

Although I've been out of the scene for awhile, I truly wish continued success for Actor's Express. I'd just like to make a small correction to the above article: The 1st season was actually done in a small 50-seat(if we were lucky, and designed the set to be accommodating-thank you, Theo)church basement on Clairmont Rd. It was kind of like Chris said, "Hey kids! I've got a basement. Let's do a show!" a la Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland. And thank you, Harold Leaver, for being there at the beginning too: we "borrowed" (read: raided at midnight) set pieces/lumber from the dumpster behind The Alliance; we left our summer theatre jobs(Cherokee, thank you Peter Hardy) to come back for 1 more weekend of "Traps"; and yeah, we may have been called "The Big-Dick Theatre" by some, but Chris said that Elisa and I actually had the biggest dicks of all. We laughed. We cried. It became a part of us. Let it become a part of you too. There's a history, as well as a future there. Come see for yourself on Monday/Tuesday night.
