Re: “Drive-in shooting victim said to have interrupted suspect during sex

All of these seemingly irrelevant racist accusations and trolling, yet nobody has made a tasteless "If this van's a rockin'..." joke?

Re: “Buckhead's black past

No, nitpicking would be pointing out the "what's it's" typo. The photo is a far more obvious mistake.

Re: “Confusion, chaos in the wake of the Starlight Drive-In murder

I'm not saying the police officer is completely free from blame, and I'm very pro-pedestrian. But what's the alternative from a legal standpoint? If I ever have the misfortune of running into one of the many crackheads, drunks or mere morons that stumble into Ponce like they're immune to getting hit by vehicles, I will be glad the crosswalk law is on my side.

That being said, every single article you'll find from the AJC will be treated similarly. And there will be no mention of the fact that no crosswalk was within a quarter-mile. There's an example from Cobb just today:

http://www.ajc.com/news/cobb/woman-fatally…

There does appear to be a crosswalk at the intersection mentioned, but it's unclear how close she was to it.

Re: “Your DeKalb Farmer's Market plans to quadruple in size

^ And optional smaller carts would go a long way towards reducing congestion and improving the shopping experience, too. I've brought my own before, but apparently that's not allowed.

Re: “Midtown

"Parking isn't too swell, either."

There are abundant pay lots in Midtown that are quite cheap and always have spaces available. Parking is everywhere in midtown. And some of the restaurants even validate garage parking (i.e. Baraonda). If you don't want to pay, most of the residential streets east of Piedmont have ample free parking, too.

Midtown has lots of issues, but parking isn't really one of them - especially considering it's in the heart of a large, car-dependent metro area. You're right, though. Leave the car at home. The walkability of Midtown is what makes it great.

Re: “CL Atlanta Eliminates Four Positions, Pay Reduced Companywide 5%

Dang. With Besha gone, there's not much of a point to visiting this site. Too bad.
