The original Uncle Julios is in Dallas in Oak Lawn (alot like Atlanta's midtown) and was very gay (in a good way) 25 years ago. I think it is the swirls, it is hard to have two and walk in a straight line, and who doesn't like a pink flamingo in your drink.
I went to the new La Parilla last weekend and it wasn't very good...typical Atlanta mexican (i.e. flavorless). Their salsa was sweet with little heat and everything was greasy. I haven't tried Red Pepper yet, but it couldn't be any worse than La Parilla.
I don't know about the bathing suit photos, I always thought it was a little too much to be that exposed regardless of how good you look in it. You don't walk into a bar or restaurant dressed like that. This isn't the Miss America contest. A girl in a swimsuit photo reminds me of a guy taking their own picture shirtless in the bathroom mirror. Tacky! What do you guys think?
