Re: “The Booze, Biters, Howlies, Twin Tigers

This is a show not to miss...if you have nothing to do for Halloween, or just need a filler before a late night party, this is it! Star Bar can get wild when it comes to people dressing up, and the Booze n' Biters boys always bring the noise! DO IT!

Re: “Cooking for college: Pimp your ramen!

I've also found ways to eat well on a severe budget (we're talking couchfishing for change!)
While boiling your Ramen noodles, scramble an egg in a small pan and saute or steam up some frozen veggies in another, with some light seasoning or butter. When the veggies are all cooked, throw everything together in a bigger pan and cook 'er up, using soy or stir fry sauce, sesame oil if ya got any, and just half of the Ramen seasoning packet. Voila! Just remember not to douse too much sauce on it, or it will turn out too salty.
My other cheap standby is a can of black beans, a red onion, and a cheap bag of yellow/saffron rice. Heat up the beans in one pan and use some seasoning salt (If you're broke, salt's okay but Sazon is best and still cheap!). Cook the yellow rice like normal, and dice the onion. When it's all done, just put your beans on your rice and sprinkle with onion. For an even fancier touch, mix a pinch of cinnamon in the beans while cooking and add fresh cilantro on top.

Both meals cost way less than $5!
