awesome stuff! here are some more pics of the event for others to enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/foocow/sets/7…
I absolutely relate to this article, so I appreciate it immensely. when I suggested to my friends and family that I was giving up not only Coke, but ALL soft drinks for the month of April, they were shocked and thought that I must be doing it for Lent or for some other reason ("why now?!"). honestly, while I love everything you mentioned when opening the feature (and I prob drooled a bit, too), I kinda-sorta hate being a slave to the deliciousness of a nice, cold - preferably fountain - Coca-Cola. so I quit all of those drinks and I wasn't sure how easy/difficult it would be and the (hopefully positive) side-effects of my new dietary change. I'm now like you - I enjoy one Coke/beer on Fri, Sat & Sun (as opposed to the constant QuikTrip run for the gallon-size bucket of Coke and crushed ice)... if I choose to do it at all. I also haven't noticed anything changing about my health in the short period of time that I made the change... but surely, things can't be worse. thanks again for putting this out there.
Macy's Great Tree is still hungover, y'all:
nice snaps, Dustin! this is such a cool event for downtown and Atlanta!
don't forget about downtown residents, too! :D
don't forget about today the moon, tomorrow the sun & PLS PLS @ the EARL on Fri, 06/01!
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've been to Bell St three times since they opened on the Westside and I have yet to be wowed. I may try it again in Sweet Auburn if my issues are w/ the location, but I just haven't been impressed by the place... especially after all of the hype it gets.
