Re: “Graffiti artists, taggers hit with $1 million lawsuit

when people move into the old fourth, where i have lived for several years, until recently, they are drawn to the grit, but more so, the potential to make the commodification of their property yield great returns. The character of the neighborhood is not evaluated in a sense to this commodification, but the embodied life and memory via, amongst other things- street art. Although "tagging" can be a blemish on a building, if one wants a building that will never be tagged, and never be used as a canvas, maybe they'd be better off buying in lets say dunwoody, or east cobb, than imposing those places on the fabric already in place.
