Have a friend who did call the police department. They came out, were rude, and basically told him tough sh*t you have to pay it. Calling them does nothing, unless we just barrage them until they are sick of it and decide something needs to be done to alleviate them being bothered.
Also had a friend who had TWO boots put on his car. One right before midnight and one right after, because "it's a different day." His car was parked in a lot he rents for his business. The guy refused to remove them unless he paid $150. He had to leave his car, find a ride home, and contact the real estate company in the morning.
Some of them even refuse to accept credit cards or give receipts. Really? Just where does this cash go then?
I understand the parking issues, laws, etc. However, rules need to be in place for this, as well as someone to enforce them. The Boot Nazis are out of control.
