I emailed the following to Creative Loafing:
Please investigate why Atlanta Police officers and various counties Sheriff’s departments deputies are allowed to park their personal vehicles in a clearly marked “No Parking” and “Tow Away Zone” near Grady Hospital and expired pay parking meters. This happens on a daily basis without any tickets issued from ParkAtlanta. This problem occurs near the intersection of Armstrong St SE and Pratt St SE a few feet from the Grady Hospital emergency room and ambulance bay. This area consistently has at least two ParkAtlanta crews performing parking enforcement however they turn a blind eye to this infraction. There are hundreds of hospital workers and patients who must use the various pay parking meters and structures for their vehicles. Why is this group exempt?
However instead of asking hard questions they provide a fluff piece for ParkAtlanta. Are you on their payroll now? Why no call into APD into this officers actions? When is the true investagation article coming?
