i like a balanced approach - good and bad. And let's not put Houston's on par with the Cheesecake Factory, for God's sake. I know Houston's is also a chain, but far better and more edited. Applese & oranges.
I agree that focus was on some gimmick and not food or menu. I was completely turned off that Julia LeRoy wasn't even at the place the night it opened. And the 12 year old mouthbreathers certainly weren't executing well. Also, there are other things that can be paired with fried chicken. Flavorless, gloppy mac & cheese and ho-hum collards are really uninspired. Disappointing.
