Wow, is it jump on Bostock day?? A lot of you are way too upset about this. Cliff's an Atlanta institution and his reviews are more like little diary entries-- that's his style, and that's why CL has (had) another reviewer who has (had) a more traditional review style. Let's all relax.
Cocktail waitresses should have their own reality show: "I would have waited tables or bartended, but that would be too much work and I'm too pretty"
I've done your job and I've worked with you, and the girl with the TROUBLE tattoo ends up a junkie.
mayanrelic, the Arts are tourist activities, just not the same kind as a casino. Destination cities have used the Arts as tourist draws for decades. Atlanta's only claim to fame for visiting conventioneers used to be its 4am closing time. Now that the party's over, let's think bigger and offer some culture instead. For the City to pull this off though, it would have to put significant energy and money into the project. Underground Atl already has a tenacious culture of hustling and homelessness that ain't going anywhere without some real solutions.
Re: “How did Factory Town become Cabbagetown?”
I have that book-- it's a treasure.
