The area around the stadium downtown is a Tax Allocation District and I think this could be an excellent re-development opportunity. It could help to revitalize the communities around that stadium in a way that would not happen if the Braves stayed. I am hopeful.
Very happy the Kaiser is supporting Watson - it means she has come to her senses. Watson is anything but 'lazy' - he is just not 'showy'- I have watched him work behind the scenes to get things done and rarely take credit. I find him to be a thoughtful man of great integrity.

I used to play at the park as a child - it is lovely and quiet. I do hope it can be reopened.
If GSU authorizes such a 'white union' then I will pull my kid out and enroll him elsewhere.
The only way to stop our transit stations from being used as 'bathrooms' is to 1- make more public bathrooms available and 2 - put more eyes in and around MARTA stations. I love the idea of cafes and other uses being right in and on the stations. In Europe, transit stations are a destination, not just a way to get onto a train. There are shops and cafes teaming with people and live with music and brightly lit. Its a pleasure and there were times I don't know I was in a transit station!
This is NOT the final design or look - I have seen the streetcar and it looks SO much cooler than this pretend version. That said, get ready, because it is coming; it is our reality and it will begin to transform our City.
