Swampsifter, we've posted a new article that rounds up our coverage of the three protests that took place today.
There will be many. We're closely following the stadium issue.
I was referring to the train trip from Atlanta to Macon to Savannah, not just Atlanta to Macon.
I think boosters of the proposed Atlanta-to-Macon train estimated it'd take about an hour-and-a-half to two hours to make the trip between the two cities.
According to a Beltline spokesman, that cash will also pay for pedestrian and streetscape improvements along Ponce de Leon Avenue between Ponce de Leon Place and Glen Iris.
I was not able to witness each and every arrest. But keep in mind that I, and all other members of the media, were behind barricades, and that the table where protesters were processed was set up about 75-100 feet from the barricades. I also couldn't be on all sides of the park at all times.
From the arrests I saw with my own two eyes, I didn't see any foul play or rough housing.
If anyone experienced any harsh treatment, send me or Gwynedd Stuart a line. thomas(dot)wheatley(at)creativeloafing(dot)com. Gwynedd's email is the same format.
