Re: “Is the Beach Boys' Mike Love a hero or villain?

The Beach Boys have long been a favorite band of mine from my first hearing them in the 60's as a child. There was a unique blend of talent in the band with Brian Wilson of course having the lion's share of it. Mike Love's contributions were two fold. One: he added the bass parts to the five part harmonies and two: he added some sunshine to the lyrics when it was needed. He is an outrovert whereas Brian an introvert which gave some balance to the band. He can come off as abrasive because he speaks his mind. Always has and always will.

Re: “Congressman John Lewis at Occupy Atlanta

They all need to get a grip and make some type of coherent statement. How can they expect to get support of the people if there are no clear aims. All I hear and see are college age kids who are chanting down with the American system of Capitalism and redistribution of wealth. A socialistic form of Government like in Cuba and Venezuela. If they want that, go to one of those countries. I'll help them pack.
