Re: “"Never Been Home" (a play)

Admittedly, at the end of a busy week, running from place to place with the kids, I often find it a painful thought to do anything extra curricular for myself. However, my sincere love for the arts inspires my continued support.

As an actor, director, playwright, New Edition imposter caught break dancing in the Hannah Montanna Movie (LOL), etc etc..... the talented Shawn Whitsell can be considered a complete "show-off" in Never Been Home. This play is a mere sampling of his abilities.

In Never Been Home, the full gamet of emotions are experienced. I found myself  instantaneously  laughing uncontrollably, while moments later, fighting back tears. With an intense storyline and realistic acting, the audience quickly becomes  involved in the production.

At the conclusion, I felt as if I needed to run up and give each actor a big hug, for "what they had been through" (LOL). Instead, I thanked each actor for yet another ingenious production and dropped a big tip in the donation bucket upon my departure.

At an affordable cost of $10, their many hours of preparation were well worth my "me time". The first time I saw it, I thought every family should have a copy of this on their shelves. Then I realized, it's not a movie yet. I love, loved, love this show.  If you have an opportunity to see this production,  please don't sleep on it~,~
