Guess I can't get over the poor service by the wait staff. My husband and I had to ask for everything...even a dessert menu. I was going to get a glass of wine with dinner but our server was nowhere to be found. The food was good but not good enough to justify being treated with indifference.
I began to wonder if maybe we weren't trendy enough to fit with this establishment's own view of itself.
We are excellent tippers...usually more than 20%. We could barely muster up 15% for the disappointing evening.
Most great cities allows buskers at public locations. Just visit a Paris or Barcelona metro station for some very good entertainment. Buskers are located throughout these cities and add to their charm.
Not a surprise that Atlanta stays well behind the curve in becoming a city of any interest to visitors and locals.
But tell us how you reall felt about the place......too funny
I've been here a year now and this city has turned into a major disappointment. Guess I was naive to think one of the country's largest cities would have the type of neighborhoods I was used to in DC , Portland,OR and even some smaller CA towns.
I keep searching for an area with restaurants and shops that span a stretch and are perfect for walking and exploring.
I find myself in Decataur quite a bit just for that type of experience. Is this as good as it gets in Atlanta? Or am I missing out on something?
